-As an addition to all the work I've done in class I decided it would be nice to show something I've done in my free time and show the way I usually work.
1. I start with a really rough sketch. I use Photoshop to do that.
2. I switch to Painttool SAI to make a clean lineart out of my sketch.
3. Going back to Photoshop, I fill in all the flatcolours.
4. Then I just add shading to each part, one at a time, slowly getting to the finished image. Add a background and done!
If the background is a scene, I would paint it first, before doing the characters so I would know how to do the lighting on them later. Like in this picture for example:
