Our assignment was to study a video tutorial again and the techniques in it and paint our own character, applying what we've learned.
I started with a rough sketch and some basic shapes, all in grayscale. The design of my character was inspired by my recent interest in human characters with non-human heads, much like the crow character I designed a few weeks ago. I guess Pyramid Head from Silent Hill also had an influence on me.
I continued painting this character, making horizontal flips from time to time to check for mistakes and such, while I was developing his story in my head. It was a sad story, I might write it sometime.
In the end I added colours and some textures to finish the image.
