2D 2013/4

- To be honest, I think that this homework was a bit too much for me. I watched the provided video several times, only to be disappointed of it because it skips so much! 

- First I decided to try and copy the model from the video. The reason why I didn't make my own design is because I wasn't sure how to start and what kind of result I would want to get. Unfortunately my knowledge of futuristic weapons and sci-fi is very limited. I would need to do a lot of research and practice before I could make my own designs. I thought my studying the model from the video I could do exactly that.

- Next I started building my model in Maya following the exact steps from the video, then it skipped to the almost finished model and I got a bit lost. I just looked at the final picture then and tried to imitate the model from it. I simplified it a bit, because I wasn't sure how to do some of the things and I thought I could just paint those details later.

- When I was done with the modeling bit, I faced my biggest problem. I had no idea how to set it properly and do the render. I didn't know how to add lights and all that in Maya, didn't even know where the render button is.  I tried doing that in Max, but again my knowledge wasn't enough.I tried following what the brief said.

- So there was my render and it looked pretty bad. I tried doing something with it, but...I think I just need some help, a better render imagine and I should redo the whole thing.

I made a new render, though I still thought it looks weird, I just decided to work with it.

 Then I started my paintover, but I couldn't finish it again,because I was feeling sick.
