Sci-Fi ship

It must be noted that Sci-Fi is one of my weakest points and I’m aware of that. Robots, machines, spacecrafts, that kind of things are kind of distant to me, even if I grew up as a Star Wars fan, that was pretty much it, together with that Farscape TV show which I really liked as a kid for some reason.  Then Sci-Fi somehow disappeared from my life completely and was replaced by fantasy and magic.

Still I somehow managed to get some images in my head, even before starting my research stage properly.

My initial inspiration for this was paper planes. So I doodled some to get an idea of their general shape and what I could do with it. 

 

Later I found out that someone else has already had the paper plane idea:

Next I went back to researching and put together a moodboard.

After getting some inspiration, I tried doing some simple designs in 3D.

I played around quite a lot, but didn't like any of these. 

In the end I decided to go back to my moodboard and see what exactly I like about the designs I chose for it.

 

And I finally ended up with a design that I want to continue working on.
