It was quite interesting to work on a piece like that. I didn't have an idea, as in one with meaning and symbolism, but I had an composition in mind. I wanted to work with arches. At first I thought of doing different scenes in each arch-window,like even make them tell a story but then I thought it would be more interesting if I make them blend. I also didn't want to get sentimental with some short story or something. I just wanted to draw and think about shapes and colours rather than meaning. That's why I didn't include any figures.

Some details from the final painting. The lamp is actually like a piece of ground with roots and a tree growing out and curving.
