World Building: SU

This week I continued working on a lot of textures and managed to finish tons of work.

I was working on some other things before the Cash Machine, but I can't remember anymore.

The Cash Machine was quite tricky to do. I had to unwrap the front again to fit the way I do the texture maps and to be able t just use a photo for it. Unfortunately the photo was taken from an slight top down angle and that messed up some parts because they weren't aligning properly. I had to slice it a lot and transform each individual piece then try to make the whole thing blend into one again.
I don't think that texture map is the final one I used, I made some more changes, but that's pretty much how I set it up. (Model by Ricardo)

Next I did some speakers modeled by Paul. Wasn't too hard except the top bit where again, the photo was from an angle and there was some really annoying lighting. I also had to fix the circles because the middle bits didn't appear in the middle.

Another one of Ricardo's models. His things are always tricky. And even though he had it unwrapped for me, I changed some things again to fit for my textures. Making the frame around the holes was really fiddly, especially because I didn't have a proper picture of them, so I had to cut from some others. Getting the frames on the sides fit the actual holes again was a bit of work as well.
I had to make sure the wood was all the same colour because the different lighting on the photos was making some look too yellow or too red and pale.

Just a table I   modeled and textured. I used a model I previously made for one of the other tables and made it the right size. Ricardo showed me an interesting technique on how to do the rounded corners. For the textures, I just used a photo again and I also made it a bit shiny.
Ricardo's model. Not too hard except the inside because it was impossible to take a proper photo of it because of the narrow space. Max did his best though.I think we're making the mirror to reflect in Unity.

Another texture I made was for the corner tables. It was fairly easy to make it repeatable.
I also used the same texture and replaced Ben's on the tables around the same area.
Next were the bins. I had quite a lot of problems with them at first, mainly with the models and not the actual textures, but Ricardo fixed those for me and I was able to do my job. I discovered that there are many variations of the bins with different signs and colours on them, but I only made 5.
I also made them a little bit shiny.

That's how my texture map looked at the end.

Textured these stairs that Paul modeled, sorted out the smoothing groups on the rail.

I almost forgot about the lift because it didn't have an image on Trello and it somehow got lost there around the other cards.
The inside was very annoying to make because of the sharp angle of the photos. Everything else was just white-ish texture. (Michael 's model)

And something else that Muchael made, I only added a black texture with some scratches on it.

I ran out of models to texture so I modeled something myself. I didn't have the size of this air conditioner, but I just did a quick Google search on typical air con dimensions and chose one that looked a bit similar.
And the last one is just another air con, the one above the front doors to the SU.I didn't have dimensions for it again so I relied on the photo for reference.
